Gain a real sense of achievement and allow people to make positive changes to their lives through engagement with the activities on the farm. Come and volunteer at Clinks Care Farm, and be part of a great team.
We would like our volunteers to get out of their volunteering as much as they put in. We will invest time to provide support and training. This is why for each role we are recommending a minimum time investment by volunteers. As a social enterprise we have limited resources and volunteers can make a real difference to Clinks Care Farm.
Market gardeners – people with experience of vegetable growing to join our team of market garden volunteers. We suggest 1 day or 2 half days per week. We are happy being flexible, usual farm hours are 9am – 4pm, any day of the week.
Volunteer Support Workers – Would you enjoy working on the farm alongside our farm helpers enabling them in their work? Ideally you will have experience of gardening or working with livestock, and good people skills. We recommend a minimum of 1 day per week, from 9am to 4pm on Tuesdays, Fridays or Sundays.
Maintenance volunteers – people with skills in woodwork, engineering or maintenance. We recommend 1 or 2 days per week, sometime between the usual farm hours of 9am to 4pm, Monday, Tuesday or Friday.
Administration volunteers – Do you have admin experience? (Microsoft Office, Handling Petty Cash, Internet Research, Data Input, Poster and Notice Design, Answering the Phone, etc) We need help in running our busy office. We recommend a minimum of 4 hours per day for 2, or more days per week to get your teeth into this role.
Retail volunteers – our barn shop will open in April 2017. Do you think you can support our farm helpers in a retail environment? We recommend a minimum of 4 hours per day for 2, or more days per week to get your teeth into this role.
Veg Box Scheme volunteers – drivers and helpers required. One day or afternoon per week.
